"Yamada-kun to Lv999 no Koi wo Suru" is a Japanese light novel series written by Miki Nazuna and illustrated by Nanao. The story follows the life of a high school student named Yamada, who is obsessed with video games and spends most of his time playing them. One day, he meets a girl named Ichinose, who is also a gamer and is playing the same game as him. They start talking and eventually fall in love.
However, Ichinose has a secret - she is actually a top-ranked player in the game and has reached level 999, which is the highest level possible. Yamada is shocked when he finds out, but he still loves her and decides to help her keep her secret. The two of them continue to play the game together and eventually become even closer.
The light novel series was first serialized online in 2017 and was later published in print by Kodansha. It has since been adapted into a manga series, which was also published by Kodansha, and an anime television series, which aired in 2021.
